As we seek the Father and dwell in His presence, our hearts become one with his. Our delight is in him, and we become the aroma of Christ and the fragrance of the knowledge of him to those around us (II Corinthians 2:14).
The Bible instructs us to put on and take up our offensive and defensive weapons, stand firm, pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests and keep on praying for all the saints (Ephesians 6).
We are urged to pray for our leaders (I Timothy 2:1); to pray without ceasing (I Thessalonians 5:17); to knock, seek and ask (Matthew 7:7); to present our requests to God through prayer (Philippians 4:6); to devote ourselves to prayer (Colossians 4:2); and to pray in faith (James 5:15).

Struggle with faith
My husband lost his job unfairly today. We have 4 young children. We are good parents, friends, charitable, generous, etc…We have never lived a life of excess, live pay check to pay check, and now we have nothing.
I see morally bankrupt people thrive. I told my husband I didn’t believe in God because if he was real he wouldn’t do this to us. Please pray for my faith, I am very scared.

Pray for Salvation, Widsom, and Strength
Please pray for Pat and her family. While on vacation she didn’t feel well and visited a doctor, which informed her that she has had cancer for a while and there is nothing they can do for her. She is returning home today and entering hospice. The family is very shocked and overwhelmed by all of this. Pray for salvation for Pat as well as comfort and peace for family.

My Cancer diagnoses and a lost child of God
I have newly been diagnosed with breast cancer and we are still waiting test results for what stage it’s in. My ex-husband who once committed his life, left me and my two kids as well as God, to be a cross country trucker. I’m asking for prayer for all the provisions we need to live and for God to convince my Ex to come back to Him.

Please pray Julie McElwee’s uncle from Jamaica, Pastor Morris Baker. He is in critical condition with organ failure and has been put on a respirator. Provision for Mortgage
I am grossly underemployed and have been struggling to provide for my family and pay the mortgage lately. We are now a month behind and need $1,600 to catch up and become current. Foreclosure proceedings begin after 60 days past due. I ask for prayer that the Lord will provide a financial miracle and allow us to catch up on our mortgage payments. For the longterm, please pray for a better-paying job in law enforcement.

My friend, Scarlett Jenson, had a heart attack yesterday and needed triple bypass. The doctors said that her arteries were more than 90% clogged. Please pray for a quick recovery.
Update on Mark Brody (age 13)
Update on Mark (age 13):
He was transferred to Lutheran General last night. We met with the attending Physician and a GI Specialist today. They shared their theories, but are still not sure why Mark has fluid in and around his liver. More tests to follow. Meantime, the liver is working at full function. Praise God! Thank you for your prayers!
Update on Ann Covert
Received word from Rick that Ann is experiencing a lot pain this morning. They have not been able to get her up yet this morning and will need to get her up soon. Recovery from this type of back surgery is known to be long and painful. Please pray for God to remove the pain, allow her to get up this morning and for a speedy and complete recovery. Back Surgery

Group Prayer and Intercession
If you would like to join others in prayer and intercession, you can join us during each weekend service, on Wednesday evenings and on Saturday afternoons with the pastors. During these prayer times, we specifically pray for the pastors, leaders and people and ministries of Calvary Church.
Personal Prayer
If you would like one-on-one prayer, you can come to the altar during a weekend service’s anointing time or after the conclusion of any service. You can also make an appointment with a pastor or prayer leader.
Individual Prayer
Anyone is welcome to come to the altar after any service to pray. In addition, Calvary’s Prayer Room is open every day for prayer and meditation from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Network Intercessor Team
If you would like to help pray for the needs of the church body, you can join this team and receive prayer requests through email. This is prayer that you can do on your own time.
Service Intercession
This ministry of intercession occurs during Sunday and Wednesday services. Its purpose is to intercede for all aspects of ministry that are taking place at that time (service in the Auditorium, Spanish Ministry, Calvary West, NXT and NXT JHI and for all who are speaking and/or ministering). If you feel called to such intercession, you can meet us in the Prayer Room during the service in progress and “stand in the gap” for those who are attending and ministering.
