Learn more about the Christian faith: ALPHA COURSE
Alpha is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. What is the point of life? What happens when we die? Is forgiveness possible? What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today? Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over eight thought-provoking weekly sessions. You will find answers and dispel any myths that you may have heard about Christianity.
The best part is that that this class is conducted in an “unchurchy,” friendly and informal manner. It is low-key, friendly and fun. Everyone is welcome to attend this class, including those who would normally not come to church. Whether you consider yourself a new believer, a skeptic, an unbeliever or a seeker, the Alpha Course is calling your name!

Respond in obedience to God: WATER BAPTISM
Water Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It is an obedient response to God and an expression of your commitment to Christ. It is a way to show others that you have entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ and symbolizes what took place in your heart at the time of salvation.
Because Jesus instructed us to be baptized, baptism is an act of obedience. While it is not necessary for salvation, Water Baptism demonstrates your submission to God. When you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you shared in his death and resurrection, which is symbolically illustrated by going under the water (dead to your old life) and rising again (new life). Through Water Baptism, you are symbolically washed clean because your sins were forgiven by Jesus’ death on the cross.

Connect with other believers: COMMUNITY GROUPS & GROWTH GROUPS
Small groups help turn a large church into a smaller and more personal place. Small groups consist of two to 20 people who gather on a regular basis in homes (Community Groups), at the church (Growth Groups) or online for the purpose of growing in their relationships with God and others. Calvary Church has a small group for every stage of life.
God doesn’t want us to go through life alone. Life is better when we do it together! In small groups, we go through the ups and downs of life with each another and learn how to live the Christian life. Calvary desires that everyone participate in a life-changing small group.
COMMUNITY GROUPS meet in homes around the area and provide a great place for people to make friends, share life together and even ask questions about faith! Join us on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evening of most months.
GROWTH GROUPS meet at Calvary Church each Wednesday evening as part of Midweek Believer’s Life. These groups focus on growing with others as you discuss topics each week.
