“And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

The angel, Gabriel, told Joseph, Mary’s fiancé, that Mary was going to give birth to a baby who would be like no other. A one-of-a-kind child! Gabriel told Joseph to name the baby Jesus, which means “Messiah" or “Savior.” His name would represent his mission on earth—to save every person from their sins and make a way for us to have a relationship with God. Christmas reminds us that only Jesus can do that!
