Calvary's Outreach and Evangelism Ministry is committed to extending care to people in the Chicagoland area who are in need. Through our many outreach programs, we strive to put God’s passion into action.

This work of compassion is rooted in Jesus' strong desire to see individuals and entire communities made whole. The very heartbeat of Jesus is to serve our local community by reaching out to those who are hurting, alone, in need, struggling or oppressed.

The needs of hurting people in our own neighborhoods are vast and varied. By partnering with skilled ministries, agencies and organizations that are on the front lines of battling poverty, Calvary’s efforts and financial support have a multiplied impact upon those in need.

Calvary During COVID-19

Calvary is still committed to showing God's love by serving the community as safely and responsibly as possible. Below are some opportunities in which you and your family can help continue to serve the community. (As always, only serve if you feel comfortable and healthy!)

Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry

Looking to help at a local food pantry? Calvary is partnering with Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, and they're looking for 50 volunteers a day to help distribute and organize food.

If you would like more information, contact Pastor Kyle.

Blood Drive with Versiti Blood Center

Calvary is excited to partner with Versiti Blood Center to help keep hospitals and medical facilities well-stocked with a crucial life source. (Every blood donation can help save up to 3 lives!) A photo ID is required, and it is recommended that you eat a full meal and drink plenty of water before donating.

In order to provide as much social distancing as possible, Calvary will open our gym to offer a second site where the Versiti team can seat 4 donors with 4 technicians. Also, with the gym's high ceilings and greater square footage, stations can be thoroughly cleaned in between each donor session.

DIY Face Mask Drive

Date: TBD

We're hosting a DIY Face Mask Drive for all you sewers and crafters! All masks must be made from 100% new material, 100% washable material, and double-layered 100% cotton is preferred.

It's a drive-through drop off! So, pull up to the door, make your donation, and head back home to make more!
