Calling all student creatives to our 2nd year of Fine Arts! The Fine Arts ministry is for students in grades 6–12. Bring your gifts of music, visual art, communication, writing or dance to discover how you can use them for a bigger purpose! This is also a great way to meet others who are gifted and interested in the same things as you! Our hope for the Fine Arts ministry is to raise up young leaders in their giftings in order to use them for God!
(Do you think you have what it takes to be a Fine Arts Coach? Reach out to Karina Negron if you are interested. She will schedule a phone interview with you to see if you're the right fit!)
Why Fine Arts?
Simply put, to spread the gospel. Everyone who has received Christ as Savior has been commissioned to be an ambassador for Christ. He is telling the world the good news about Jesus, and he is doing it through you! Whether you sing, play an instrument, dance, design, act or speak, you can be gospel-centered, spirit-empowered and personally responsible for the mission of God.
The A.G. Fine Arts Festival
Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of the Youth Ministries of the Assemblies of God. It is designed to help students hone their ministry gifts. Through Fine Arts Festival, students are given the opportunity to have their skills evaluated by qualified ministers and industry professionals who encourage excellence and inspire students to use their gifts in ministry or secular vocations.
Categories for 2020 participation:
By participating in our Fine Arts ministry, students will have the opportunity to be coached by a mix of staff members and adult volunteers who have had years of experience in cultivating their specific gift. These leaders want the chance to pour into these students and see them grow in their gift! Our goal is to prepare students to participate in the District Fine Arts Festival. If they get through District, there is a chance to go to the National Fine Art Festival.
Disclaimer: Participating students must be enrolled in grades 6–12 or be 12 to 17 years of age as of September 1, 2019
