Missions is the heartbeat of Calvary

Since 1967, we have been partnering with local and global missionaries and ministries to take God's message of hope around the world. Missions continues to shape who we are as a church as we reach beyond the four walls of our building to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Because of international travel restrictions and safety protocols, many international missions trips have been put on hold. When it's completely safe to travel again, we can't wait to send our missions teams around the world.

However, we have begun LOCAL Missions trips again!  Click the link below to explore local opportunities.

Reaching out and into the community

We are committed to showing God's love by serving the community as safely and responsibly as possible. Below, when available,  you'll find opportunities in which you and your family can help make a difference in the community.
(As always, only serve if you feel comfortable and healthy!)

Kewanee Construction & Outreach | AUGUST 4-8

During this project, we will participate in community outreach, prayer and worship sessions, along with construction and renovation projects. Lodging will be at the local Motel 6 where past teams have been well accommodated. All meals will be at Encounter Church and prepared by our team. People of all skill levels and ages (teens and up) are needed!

Cost for motel:
$250 per person for double occupancy
$400 per person for single occupancy
$150 per person for 2 nights

This mission will continue our relationship with Encounter Church (pastored by Stephen & Kaitlyn McGough) and Kewanee House of Prayer (pastored by Jesus & Liz Bermudez). If you plan to be a part of the mission project, e-mail Pat or call 630-585-3240, and she will send you an application.

Find out more at the team meeting on July 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the Prayer Room.

Meet our sister church!

Chicago city life center

We are proud to partner with Pastor Charles Moodie and Chicago City Life Center for outreach efforts that bless the people of the Englewood community in Chicago. In this season of COVID scarcity, we have helped deliver food and essential supplies to those most in need in and around the city.
Led by Pastor Charles and Kehinde Moodie, Chicago City Life Center has a vision that stretches beyond outreach ministry to a new whole-life ministry. It focuses beyond just the spiritual component of life—this ministry reaches every part of life.

Originally a small church plant sitting walking distance of the old Robert Taylor Homes, the church’s purpose was to bring the hope of the gospel to residents of the low-income community.

When Calvary heard about this vision, we purchased the 2.5 acres of land that the Chicago City Life now calls home. Today, we continue this partnership with our sister church through outreach initiatives throughout the year.
